Still having issues with my tach...before I rip it out and send it back to Faria, can anyone provide me with information on where the Tach wires into the ignition system so that I can check the wiring connections?

Any info (or pics!!!) would be greatly appreciated!

Hi ewcjoro,

Have you had a chance to look at the Merc Manual for your 5.7, as a gold member, you have access to it. The GM5057-RemovalInstall.pdf indicates that the main engine harness connection is located near the rear of your motor by the distributor and the GM5057-ElectricalSystems.pdf indicates the tach wire comes out of the Ignition Control Module and is gray for the THUNDERBOLT IV and V ignition systems. Make sure the tach's got a good ground too.

Thanks, found the info in the manuals.

Re-did the connection, still no worky. Guess I will have to take out the Tach and ship it off to Faria.
