Default porpoising z210

Anybody with a z210 have an issue with porpoising? Took the boat out on sat and couldn't get it to stop. Didnt matter where people sat or trim, it would still do it. It was windy out but didnt seem to bother other boats on the water.

Are you sure that your outdrive is actually trimming properly?

If it is then you may have to do what most others do who have this problem. Install a set of Smart Tabs.

It was trimming correctly. Even had the other half operate it while I watched it.

Read somewhere that someone had a "whalefin" on the outdrive and it was loose causing the up and down motion, wasn't loose by much but enough where trim wasn't making that much difference to counteract it but got the porpoise effect at any speed...shot in the dark I guess

Tabs are well worth the money, added them over the winter months and have been enjoying them the last 10 or so trips out. Great investments. And they look cool when plained out!

Anyone who installed a whale tail on their Mariah outdrive deserves to have it porpoise.

I have seen the tutorial on the tabs on here. What kind/size would be a good start? I'm away at a conference with the army so have limited Internet to research. Would like to order them ASAP.

Your boat can handle the 80# Smart Tabs SX or the Mobster tabs fairly easily. You can check out the full information and videos on them here. If you buy from them tell 'em the Mariah Owners Club sent you!

#80's Nauticus Trim Tabs Sx Composite 9.5"X10"-80*, says $129.99 but when you add them to the cart it drops to $99.99...I ordered a set of 60's for myself this morning
