Default Electrical Issue

I have a 1994 with at 4.3 Liter V-6. I first noticed my issue when trying to raise the engine cover - pistons made noise but wouldn't raise. As I tried, all the dash lights lit up on toggle switches. Same happened when I tried to move power seat. So I put in a new battery. Started and running great.

Got it on the lake and still running fine. Blower worked at first but now isn't working. Same thing...all toggle switch dash lights lit up. This has never happen before.

What is going on?

Sounds like a ground issue to me. Start with checking your grounds in the engine compartment and the main ground that travels up to the switch panel.

I had the same issues. I started on the port side stern and went around the whole boat checking grounds and cleaning them including the ones in the plastic snap together plugs. I used battery terminal cleaner sprayed into a shot glass and a brush to clean them. I used a deburring tool in my dril for cleaning the female ends. Everything was working much better as I got to the console I finally had it narrowed down to the bow nav lights/ anchor light grey wires on the knob left of the steering wheel when these were pulled off the lights on the toggles didnt intermittently come on as soon as it was reconnected they would backfeed the ground with about 4 amps and they would lite up. As i was working I heard a clicking in the back of the circuit board under the dash so I believe it to be a relay and have one ordered. I willl let you know. (sorry about the long winding)
