The Faria tach on my 2006 SX-19, 4.3L V6, suddenly went from normal operation/indication this summer to reading approximately twice as high as it should. I will check connections for corrosion, but what suggestions do any of you have for troubleshooting?

Also, if it comes to relying on Faria's lifetime warranty, do any of you have experience in working with Faria to get a replacement tach?

Faria has been good at honouring their warranty if there is something defective within the tach. While you are checking the connections for corrosion, give the small dial on the back of the tach a spin a few times then re-set it at "6 cyl".
