Default Cover Support

Made this today to keep support from collecting water.
Is about as basic and low priced as you can get.
3/4" PVC slips over the tow hook and cut to form a bow up and over the winshield.
Put a Tee at the front to keep it from twisting.
Front may still be a little low, will see after next rain.
Photos should do better than my words.

It's not going to work though. You have too much loose material and up in the bow you have the pocket where it goes down into the seat. It's going to collect right there.

I also built a frame like this, with a few legs to help support the cover. My mistake was using 1/2 PVC, and with 12" of snow and ice built up, the pipe broke and tore the cover. Love storing my boat outside!!

Nice idea. I wonder if you make the cross on your T a little longer (maybe just slide a broom handle or something through what you have) and brace it against the grab rails if it'd resolve the collection issue you're going to have. Thanks for sharing.
    Good point Zins.

Lots of rain today, and still more coming.
Check a few minutes ago, no water pooled up front or back.
    So is working great.
Mine is only a 18', so maybe not as much room to sag as a larger boat.
Plus cover is new, and water beads up and rolls off fast.

I understand your idea Dredd, and may try something along that line.
A broom handle thru the Tee maybe just right, without the PVC pipe there.

Glad to hear klattu! I'm going to try a modified version of your idea and see how it works with my Z250!
