I am trying to clean and polish the two chrome grills located on my 2006 SX20 stern, right under the tanning pad.

I removed them and tried cleaning them with warm water and soap, CLR, Naval Jelly, Goo Gone, and nothing seems to work. Has anyone recommend anything that will remove these stubborn, ugly green streaks/spots in between the grills?

How about some very fine steel wool? I know I use that with all the aluminum on the dump trucks we own....

Have you tried Mr. Clean pads? They seem to work on just about everything else...
