(Dodge Ram has an 8 speed out this year). Its all about making that MPG higher. My next vehicle will be diesel, period.

As for Colorado's remark- the elevation sucks the life out of these gas motors. Wolf Creek pass was amazing at a blistering 25 mph!!

I agree totally with what you said. Everything. My next will be a diesel as well. I never use the truck except to pull my toys. Otherwise it sits. Far the record, you couldn't give me a dodge. Good looking trucks but no ass, not to mention an identity issue. Owned by Fiat, supercrews are made in Mexico etc. You wanna go fast by a chevy, wanna work horse buy a Ford. JMO

According to nada the Barchette weighs in at 5650pds dry weight. So with the trailer I think I can handle it.

I use NADA. A heads up though, the brochure on this forum for the boat is the accurate weight. Mariah made the boat, they know the weight. I would suggest you go off that weight. Again, that's my opinion. NADA may not be accurate. Plus trailer weight...

Great topic! I'd put my Eco-boost up against any 1/2 ton, amazing performance for what it is. I pull a talari 220 like its not there.

X2,,,, plus the weight of all the little accessories, full tank of gas etc...means you are very likely at (or over) your max.... and for me, stopping is a bigger issue than pulling.

Note: Maximum loaded trailer weights shown. The combined weight of the towing vehicle (including hitch, passenger, cargo) and the loaded trailer must not exceed the Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR).
Note: See RV and Trailer Towing Guide for requirements, restrictions and 5th-wheel towing I just can't excede total weight of both truck and trailler of 17100 pds.
