$900 - $2000. A lot depends on who you have local to do it. My guy quoted $1200 to add them to my Chaparral with a 454 a couple years ago.

I don't think it would sound bad on a v6. You won't get much performance gain out of it since they don't breath as much as a v8 and hence won't be constricted going through the drive, but if you love the boat and plan on keeping it for the long haul and want a big grin factor I'd say do it.

One nice thing is that if you look at how much it adds to the value of the boat through NADA you practically get dollar for dollar back in resale value. And that is how I talk the wife into most of my schemeing.
