Default Thru Hull Transducer

Does anyone know where in the hull, Mariah put the factory installed transducer for the Lowrance depth sounder? [3500] I had a bit of trouble with mine last fall, and wanted to check to make sure it was still secure.

Thanks

Mine is located in the bilge area under the rear of the engine. My Lowrance 3500 was giving me some trouble too, found out the epoxy on the transducer and the mount had gone bad, leaving the transducer just kind of hovering in the bilge area. I've got a new transducer waiting to be installed once the weather warms up a bit. It's a lowrance PD-N.

We discussed this a few weeks ago in the off topic forum.

    Hope this helps!

I have the Uniden model sounder and the transducer is also in the bilge area, but towards the front of the engine.

I have a 1996 272 and it is delaminated too from the rear of the beilge area, under the engine. I'm replacing with transom mount combo unit that has other functions as well.
