Default Trailer wheels

We'd like to do soemthing about our trailer wheels. You guys think it would look better to paint them a glossy black or buy some chrome wheels? The painting is of course the cheaper way to go but I think the chrome would really look slick. Currently they look like galvanized and don't clean up very well. Any input is appreciated!

I vote for chrome, or maybe even aluminum. They're a classic look for trailer wheel. I haven't seen any gloss black wheels on trailers around here.

If you want to replace them, I'll suggest Trailer Parts Superstore, a division of Eastern Marine. I bought my spare through them. You can buy the rims and tires together, and they ship the tires and rims mounted and pre-inflated. All you need to do is bolt them on! Prices are very good, and I believe they even have an ebay store too. Check them out!

I would go with chrome or something highly polished. Black wheels look okay in some applications but this isn't one of them.

I like black a lot but I just can't imagine it looking good on there.
If you do choose a color you might consider powder coating them. PC would probably be somewhere in the neighborhood of $60/each.
