Good ol' North American iron.... Quality so bad it makes a Landie look good.

I do like the looks of the new trucks from Toyota & Honda though...and if they're as reliable and well built as their cars are, i could become a new customer.

That's one of the things I was glad to see gone when I sold it. I was quoted $2400 at the dealer to get my blend doors fixed. I just ended up using the windows! And it sucks DC knew about it and the millions of cars that were affected, and refuses to pay for their own mistake.

I will say, I did love that Jeep though. It ran like a champ, even with 120k miles. It pulled my Z250 as best as it could, which wasn't terrible. However, I just needed to step up to something bigger for the longer tows.

The Tundra is definitely a massive truck up to the task of towing, and it's specifically designed just for that. I would have seriously considered one if I had the budget. Speaking of which, do you canadians get to see the TV ads for the Tundra they run here?

    Default Blend doors

I still get heat and AC, but the diagnotic codes are telling me the repair is due.

The stealership fix isn't cheap. Apparently the parts are only a couple of hundred, the rest is the labour. There is a plenty of info on the internet for the DIY'er; which is me. I bought it knowing full well about having to fix it at some point. True it's a shame that Chrysler/Jeep isn't willing to pick up the tab on such a blatant defect.

I do love the Jeep though. The Quadra Drive is the bomb. I hear it's very adept a recovering stuck Land Rovers...

Do you mean the Tundra commercial where they drop the payload over the cliff?

My cousin drives long term testers for an automotive TV show. The Tundra was one of his allotment. He was impressed. While not directly comparable, he drove a 4.7L Dakota for a while and said it was one of the nicest trucks he had ever driven.

Great commercials! Even better are the Tacoma commercials from a year or two ago. Now those were great! According to them the Tacoma is meteor-proof, cliff dropped - proff, ocean-proof, and lock ness monster-proof!

Found this too that you guys might enjoy!

I had a Land Rover and bought a 2005 Dodge Durango with the Hemi. There is no comparison. I love my Dodge! It tows my Mariah like it is not even there. Land Rovers were the best of the best at one time but that time has past!

From my side of the Pond best tow vehicles are:

Nissan Patrol, Mitsubishi Shogun (Pajero), Toyota Land Cruiser Amazon and being a Brit the best has to be the Land Rover Discovery 3 (yes I know LR is owned by Ford, at the moment anyway)
