Default Buying Advice - SX25

Too big can be a problem. I am facing it now. I want to buy a Mariah 25SX and will have to trailer it to storage after each use. Also, will have to trailer it 6 hours to Key West. I am not sure but I think my Lincoln Navigator has the towing right on the borderline for that boat.

I started off looking for boats in teh 20-21 foot range and here I am about to get a 25. What happened here?

Your Navigator should be able to handle towing a SX25. The SX25 weighs only about 4,000lbs. Add the weight of the trailer (steel trailer that size, maybe ~1700lbs, aluminum trailer, maybe ~1200lbs). That'll put you in the neighborhood of 5200-5700lbs. You're still under the 8600lbs towing capacity of the Navigator.

Depending on the year the navigator should already have a OEM self leveling air ride installed already.

It will tow good down there. I just picked up a 4400lb (I think) 25' boat with my F150 and towed it 860 miles home. The hardest part of the drive would be the hills and head wind. I managed to average 8-9 MPG.
