Just got my tower!!!
I just got home with my TL Wakeboard brand Zenith model polished aluminum tower. I hope to start the install this weekend. I will do my best to document the process. It is going on our 96 220 Talari. My plan is to mount it over the sunpad in the "forward" arch position. Does anyone have an opinion as to which location for the tower feet would be the best? ie: "Low"--just above the rub rail or "high"-- just below the gunwale?

Re: Just got my tower!!!
Hi knightriderz, congrats on you tower purchase!
Since you've decided to mount your tower over the Sunpad, your choice of attachment points may present several challenges...
If you attempt to mount the tower near the gunwale, I'd think the bilge vents and rear cleats would be in the way of the rear arch support and if you choose to mount near the rub rail, you'd run into the exterior "staircase" or cascading rib feature in the rear as well as possibly running into the wood reinforcing strip on the inside of the hull behind the rub rail while trying to mount the front leg..
If I were mounting over the pad, I would try to mount the rear leg below and slightly to the rear of the aft cleats (keeping as far away from the bilge vents as possible) and that would provide much more "hull" to support the rear leg and it should allow mounting the front leg just about mid-way between the Gunwale and rub rail to keep the top of the tower parallel with the deck.
Either way, I would try to locate and use the largest backing plates that I could fit to help disperse the loads and help prevent stress cracking around the mounting points.
Good luck and we'll be looking forward to your installation article soon,
WetWilly

Hey Fellas.......
I too want to add a tower to my Jubilee 214. I have not seen photos or in person a tower on my model.
Where to buy and where to set it.
Thanks Vic

Re: Just got my tower!!!
Hey Fellas..... Had my tower put on my Jubilee. Bought the tower from "Big Air" $800.00 Had it put on for $300.00 Looks great, just one thing. The tower is further back then where I originally wanted but it has grown on me. However the reason why it was backed a little was due to the sun brella and tower speakers. I like it and the kids like so I'm "GOLDEN"
Peace Vic

Re: Just got my tower!!!
I realize this thread is really old, but I just recently got the "how to" posted!!! I had the tower on all last summer and am really happy with it!!! Thinking about an extended swim platform and trim tabs next!

Re: Just got my tower!!!
Hi knightriderz, saw your "How-To", very nicely done! Keep us informed as to how it performs when you have a chance to take your Talari out.
I'll be looking forward to the "Extended Platform How-to" if you go that route because we have similar models.
With the Tower, Trim Tabs would be a good investment, especially if you plan to using Wake bags to make a bigger wake (I recommend hydraulic in this case).
