got this boat for some work i did someone had stole the outdrive.found one to replace it.looking the motor over it has a 4 bbl.just to the back of the carb there are some loose wires looks like something was bolted to the top of intake manifold.not sure what it was any help would be appericated. thanks jranes

engine is a 350 magnum,has a 4 bbl carb.just behind the carb there are some loose wires.trying to figure out what they where hooked too.you can see 2 bolts in the intake where something was bolted.any suggestions,thanks jim

Sounds like some of the "Starting System" wiring.
The best thing to do is look in the mercruiser manual. There is a complete color coded wiring harness section there.
Contributing members have access to these manuals and much more.
Please check it out here if your interested.
You need to look at the diagrams to see how the system is wired and works.

Blacks are grounds
Yellow/Red goes to slave solenoid
Red/Purple goes to circuit breaker via junction block

It's worth becoming a contributing member - I had no idea how much stuff we had loaded on the site! I was so happy to view the original brochures and other material. It made me wonder why I held out for so long.
