Default Fuel Venting problem

Anyone had an issue that the fuel entry pipe is not venting problerly?

Got an issue that I cannot put more than 5-10 or so gallons in my Shabah 205 before gas starts overflowing. I know its only about 1/4 full but it wont allow any more gas in. I believe the issue is that it is not venting properly. I believe the vent is within the intake pipe (just under the gas cap) and I've tried to blow this out with an airhose - but cant seem to solve the issue,

Anybody got any suggestions?

Are both vent and fill tubes clear of any kinks or pinchs? I know you probably checked that already but it's a thought.

I have to fuel my Shaba on the trailer. Must be the way it sits in the water, marinas can't get much in it

I have a 94 Talari and "almost" ran out of gas in the water. Filled tank fine at the marina in water just fine. Oh what fun at $4.95 / gal. He even gave me a 3% discount because I spent over $125.00 Anyway I dont see how it would only take that little fuel. If there is a baffle in tank, I wonder if it could have come loose and causing restricted flow into tank?.....

I had this same problem with my 92 Mariah on the water, never on the trailer, could only get a few gals before she would spit out anything else. Guy at the fuel pump said it was probably an air lock in the tank and to go hit some big wakes to release it. Another guy told me to blow air down the vent tube, I did this and it seemed to allow the fuel to flow into the tank after that. Not exactly sure what the cause was though.

Discovered the same on my 2000 182.... could not fuel it with more the 3 gallons in the water.
Took it out today as the water is being lowered for the winter.
Must find a solution for this.
Ran out of fuel on our last ride today, but was smart enough to bring the can along... afte rrunning out, it took the whole 5 gal
