Default How lift engine cover with dead battery

The battery is dead dead and it has a elect. lift how do I get it up to get the battery out? Just purchase boat its z216 tal.

    Have someone help you and try lifting the hatch up just enough to pull the bench seat down. Then you can pull the pin on the lift. If you have real small arms you might be able to get to the pin without pulling the bench seat down.

    On my z302 you can lift the hatch about 4 inches, enough to get your hand/arm inside to pull the hatch pin

    You could backfeed the 12 V system with a charger through the cig. lighter adapter.???? Just an idea.

    Well as bad that I have to say it. It didn' have a lift on I was lifting the wrong way. I read where somone said that all z models had the elect. lift. So that's not true this just pull out front front.

    it might have been removed by the previous owner, at least mine was... wiring's still there, and so are the screw holes where the actuator was mounted.

    maybe someday i'll get around to replacing it, and i'll definitely be adding a remote jump port in case of battery failure. my friend's rinker 342 had one and it definitely made it much easier to get the hatch up in the wintertime with a jump box.
