Gimbal Ring Repair
Hello, I have a 1999 Z252 7.4l Bravo 3 with a steering problem. From what I have been told the gimbal ring needs repairing or replacing. If I replace it about $900.00. If I repair it about $300.00. My question is about repairing it . There is a kit out there that drills a hole on the top of the plate, to get to the gimbal ring nut. Instead of pulling the engine. Has any buddy done this procedure drilling the hole? Repairing the gimbal ring by J & R marine, will it hold up? Any thoughts Please. Larry
