Re: Scratch repair
Welcome to the board Jason! Yes, scratches can be repaired, but if it's located on anywhere above the waterline on the boat, I'd consider leaving the job to a professional, just to maintain the look of the rest of the boat. It may cost a bit more, but it'll be worth it to keep your boat looking like the true gem it is! They'll most likely fill the scratch with epoxy, or if it's deep enough - refiberglass, then sand, and regelcoat the section, and then spend quite a bit of time "blending it in" with the existing color. Like I said, if you're concerned with the appearance of your boat, like all of us are, I'd consider having a pro do it. Many service facilities can recommend someone, or may even have someone in their own facility who specializes in fiberglass and gelcoat repair.
