Hi rob, www.wholesalemarine.com has the same part# for $454 verses $499 at ebasicpower.com.
If you don't already have a service manual, then I strongly suggest getting one. Our contributing members have access to this information, Click here if you would like to become one.
I was looking at the Gimbal ring replacement on Merstuff.com and the only thing that looks out of the norm is how to access the steering lever assembly from outside of the gimbal housing. It appears that your going to have to drill a couple of access holes in the gimbal housing to get to the nuts and bolts unless you want to remove the entire gimbal housing from the transom.
