Default Quicsilver parts

Hey guys, having oil filter issues. My owner's manual does not give me a part# for quicksilver oil filter. I do have one at Gander Mtn that says fits GM v-6's, with out remote oil filter. Not really sure what that means, but when I look for a reference guide on quicksilver products it sends me to Mercury parts and gives me a Mercury oil filter# which is different from the quicksilver. I also can't find oil capacity, I thought I had read 4 quarts but I would think it would be 5. This is kind of a pain, trying to keep with quicksilver b/c that is what owner's manual recommends and I get a discount from my p/t job.

    The 4.3 holds 4.5 quarts.

Ok, I read 4 quarts, but really figured it would be 5, so 4.5 is a good place to start. I still trying to figure out the best way to change it. I don't know if I can get a drain pan down there to catch the mess or not. I know a lot of people suck it out, but I really don't want to buy a pump b/c I may get an easy change kit (hose and cap), plus I just think that it is healthier to drain it.

Douglas Alderman recomended using a Force Flex trash bag in this thread. I think it sounds like a great idea and will be testing it out in the next few days.
