Default Bimini tops

Hi there folks.
I have a 1992 2000Z and it has just the standard bimini top that snaps to the windshield and the brackets mount to the side windows.

A new boater at our marina has a 1993 MX20C in realy nice shape and it seems to have about the same dimensions as mine. They look very similar in all areas, except his is a cuddy and mine is an open bow.

He has the clear plastic side windows and the rear "fast back" bimini cover on his with two clear windows.

Does anyone know if his cover would fit my boat? I would have to install snaps on mine to fit his cover, but I was just wondering if it is even worth it to try and see if it would fit.

The reason I ask is that he mentioned he wanted to sell his fast back cover and have a camper top fitted in its place to give him more room for his family since his is a cuddy cabin.

My boat only came with a trailer cover that snaps on way down below the rubrail and the bottom of the swim platform, making it nearly impossible to put the cover on while it's in the water.

And don't worry....I hyped this wonderful forum up to him, so maybe he wil come check it out!

Thanks for any advice or help!
Patrick

I see lots of people looking, but no one offering help...
I guess I can just try it and see if it would work, was just hoping someone might be able to tell me if the two boats were similar enough in size/shape that it could be feasible...

Not sure if it would work, Mariah used many different types of windshields and things, but it might work? Give it a try and let us know how it turns out!

It its a near fit, especially if its just slightly on the big side, I bet it wouldn't be too expensive to have a local canvas shop alter it for you. Depending on the purchase price, you could still be much better off then having one custom made.

Just looking at the two boats, they look pretty close in all aspects.

I plan to talk to the guy this weekend and will let everyone know.
