Hi, I am looking at a 1996 mariah talari 220, it has a mercruiser 7.4 lx injected engine and bravo III outdrive duo prop, my question is that i am trying to figure out the horsepower rating of the engine, the dealer says it is 350-400 but i believe it to be the 300 hp version. this boat is far away so its not like i can check myself easily, i forgot to ask how many hours on the boat but they are asking
12k, does the price seem reasonable the boat looks clean - some interior flaws. also i would like to know the difference between the x220 and the 220. any help is appreciated thanks!

Welcome to the board!

On the Bravo 3 setup, it's 300hp for the 7.4L LX EFI, 330 for the 7.4L LX MPI. The 454 Mag has 350hp.

I believe you're referring to the "Z220" instead of the x. The Z-Series is the top of the line, they were equipped with my additional options over just the standard number series. If you can find one of these, it'll have just about everything you need, and all kinds of fancy gadgets. However, don't be disappointed, every Mariah was "Equipped like No Other Boat in the World", and they're all built to the same standards!

Do you have any pics you could share with us? That'll help us determine if the boat is truly worth the $12k asking price.

The top of the intake is labeled 7.4 lx EFI/MP also says multi port injection, so must be the 330 hp, which works for me 330 hp on a 22 ft boat should move pretty good I am looking to upgrad from a 19.5 ft regal centurion I/O with 228 hp which has plenty of power for its size, does about 54 mph but I need something that will handle rough water a little better with out beating my passengers up to much. But I dont want anything that is slower than what I have. I do not have any pics of this boat as it is for sale at a dealers website, It looks pretty clean but its not super nice. Oh ya one more thing, it is the regular 220 not the z220.
