Default Air/fuel adjustment

Took the boat out yesterday and it seemed alittle sluggish so I pulled the plugs when I got home and they are light brown, with a little white on tip of electrode. This sound normal or should I adjust to run more rich? If so how do I go about doing this? Boat is shabah 202 w/ merc 5.7l carb [/IMG]ImageUploadedByTapatalk1397326268.216813.jpg

    Juskol,
Brown/white usually indicates a proper firing plug. If the sluggishness is only on acceleration then I would look else where...is your accelerator pump functioning properly?

I agree with mikeyt, sounds like an accelerator pump issue to me. The easy way to test the accelerator pump is to take everything off the top of the carb (like you have in your picture,) make sure your carb is full of fuel (Has ran recently but not running), have someone else accelerate the throttle quickly while you look into the carb. You should see a good stream of fuel into the carb, don't do this more than twice or you could flood your motor. If is shoots a good stream then your accelerator pump is most likely working properly. The next thing you could do is take the top of the carb apart and check if you have a float sticking. I recently went through a similar problem and turned out to be a sticking float. Hope this helps.
