Default Engine Stalls
2000 238 Shaba stalls out at a 1/2 tank of gas, acts like it has run out of fuel. has enyone had this problem? i read it may be a plugged gas tank vent. i can't find this vent. Thoughts????
I pulled the sending unit out and measured the depth of the gas in the tank. The tank is indeed half full.

    Default Engine Stalls
    If its indeed half full you can tell if its the vent by popping the gas cap when it's acting up. If it cures the problem it's probably the vent.

    Vent is likely a small round black thingy on your swim deck or transom.

    I tried that, didn't help. If I add gas to above the half full mark it will start.

    Have you changed the fuel filter (including the small filter at the carb) and checked the fuel pump connections for correct voltage?
