Not completely sure about the post, probably not. For a carb schematic check out marinepartsexpress.com. They have all the mercruiser engine parts with diagrams listed by engine year, model, serial, etc.
    Hope this helps

Let us know what you find out about the S-10 carb kit. I saw that they were really close when I rebuilt mine, too. I didn't have enough faith to go with it based on the drawings. I ended up buying the parts that I wanted, rather than a kit, from a Merc dealer and the price wasn't bad at all.

Will do Dredd. I went to Napa and had them cross reference a federal mogul carter # and they will have it in tomorrow. I will post the item# when I get it. It was only $41 with tax and the picture looked like it had the same gaskets so why not! I'll give it a shot. They said I could return it if its not the right one. I'll post back tomorrow with all the info.

ok, so I got the carb done and everything is running great. Only 1 problem. I was soaking some parts in some carb cleaner and when I went to empty the container I saw a ball bearing. I saw one in the kit but never saw one when I was taking it apart. Anyone know where it goes. It looks like it went below the accelerator pump but not sure...

Just wanted to post the part number for the rebuild kit if anyone is interested. I got it from napa and the part # is 2-5763a. the only thing that didnt fit was the manifold to carb gasket. Its only $5 at the local marina though. So for $40-$45 It worked out really well. You will have some extra parts just to let you know. Beats $140! Hope this helps, and thanks to Dan for all the help!
