Default weber carb help!!!!

Does anyone know where the ball bearing goes in a weber 9600 carb. Just recently did a rebuild and never saw the ball until I was cleaning up the bowl that I was soaking parts in. Went to dump it and there it was! Need help quick please!

Sounds like a check ball, did u get a parts diagram with the kit? The one I am thinking of, take off the top of the carb, in the center front there will be 2 screws holding down a small cover, take it off, there is a hole under the small cover toward the back some carbs have a spring there, some have a little piece of metal, the only ball I know of goes under the spring or piece of metal
    Happy boating

I know exactly where you're talking about. It goes on top or under the spring?

It goes under the spring. If a new one came in your kit, make sure u the old one isn't still stuck in the hole.
    Good Luck
