After replacing my water pump in my lower end and reinstalling it, I am getting a gear oil leak coming from two holes (1 on each side). The holes are just below where the lower end mates up with the upper portion and towards the front where where the shift shaft is. I have not drained it yet to see what the problem is, Thought I might get some insight if someone knows what could be wrong.

Hi sharpvet03, it sounds like you've got a bad "O" ring or two, possibly around the shift shaft. Also, when you pull the lower off and you find oil all over the "top" of the water pump housing, check the drive shaft seal on the upper housing where the lower drive shaft enters the upper housing.
