Got another question for anyone who can help. When I purchased my boat I had a small pool of hydrolic fluid in the back of the boat that had escaped the stearn drive motor. As a result the stearn did run smoothly. I couldn't tell where the oil leaked from so I added a bit more and ran the stearn a bit and have the leak again. Any ideas where this is coming from? As well, there isn't a dip stick or line to show what the proper amount of oil it would require. Any suggestions?? Thanks, if the weather holds I'm taking the maiden voyage tonight. Wish me luck.

could be power steering fluid, trim pump fluid or gear oil for the leg, where did u top up / what level was low. Some drive legs are filled at the actual leg, some have the optional remote oil filler which has a white plastic bottle on the engine. The power steering fluid in normall y in a tank on the actual pump itself, the trim (leg up / down) pump has the tank under the pump. Important that all are kept up to the right level!
