Default gauge problems Talari 240z

[FONT="Comic Sans MS"]A couple of questions for you guys, first, my gauges are acting up also, speedo is showing slower speed than actually going and water temp is just barely showing over 100 degrees. Does anybody know where the transducer is for the depth finder? I had some lower unit damage some years ago and after it was repaired it never has worked right since. Any help would be gratefully appreciated, Thanks guys,Bolo WAKE'UP/FONT]

The depth finder is located underneath the engine in the bilge area. It's a black hockey puck looking thing. If you can move it, it'll need to be sanded down and re-epoxied in. The epoxy goes bad over time, and if it's not fully epoxied in, won't give correct readings, and may not even work.

As for your speedo, chances are it might not be reading correctly due to your outdrive damage. The pickup for the speedo is located in the back of the outdrive, it's a small cutout. Or it could be plugged up. Search the forum for "speedo" and you'll find lots of helpful info and photos.

Water temp, that's a sensor located on your engine block. I'd probably take it to a service department for this, as it could be a combination of things.
