wanted to say hello to everybody. i'm a power boater for longer than i want to remember, but just launched my first mariah on saturday, replacing an '89 stingray 17.5' w/135 io.

i'm glad i found this site because of the lack of info pre '02 everywhere else. i'm hoping to have a few questions answered. hopefully, i can find the answers here.

about the boat:
purchased in drydock last nov. without water testing until 3 days ago on a lake.
black on white with like new bimini top, bow & cockpit covers in pretty good condition except shrank and with the use of a heat gun was only able to stretch out the bow cover enough to fit. i'm hoping the summer sun will help with the other one.
it's a Z model and has 100 hours on the engine clock. everything's in good working order and the upholstery is in like new condition. my mechanic is familiar
with the boat since the day it was first launched 8 years ago the same lake and was removed every time at the day's end and stored in the owners garage or driveway. according to the mechanic the boats only been in the same lake and never salt water.
the mariah matching trailer looks brand new.
i bought the whole package for 8500. included was the owners manual.
i think i got a very good deal after researching the going prices on the net this winter.
it topped out at approx 47mph with 3 adults on board. from what i've been reading here, that seems about right.

i'd like to find out if possible:

what the exact specs are on it.
there's a question about the true length whether it's 18.5' or 19'. i'm considering getting a new full cover to protect it from the sun.
i'd love to know what this particular model featured. and what was standard for both models and what the z model has over the other.
i'd love to hear what it would sell for "new" back in the day. and if anyone in the know would speculate on what a fair price should be for it the way it's described. thanks in advance for any info provided.

Thanks to the both of you for the welcome.

Thanks WW for the useful suggestions. I have already offered up the owner's manual and i guess is under review to see if it's needed.

i checked out the NADA site and included the options i am aware of and it appears i underpaid greatly if NADA is accurate. according to them, for the same boat in "average retail" condition i underpaid by 5K. the boat is in excellent condition or very close to it. maybe someone knows how to appraise based on excellent condition.

i think i stole it and someone really messed up. it really pays to do homework and buying in the middle of november couldn't hurt, either. so far i really love the boat and this is not my first boat. and with only 100 hours on the engine clock it looks like it'll be around for awhile. thanks again for the info
