Default Accident on Skiatook Lake Oklahoma

Bad boating accident on Skiatook Lake Saturday night the 28th. A boat reported to be a Cigarette hit a pontoon boat and killed the driver of the pontoon boat and cut the leg off of a passenger in the same boat. No one in the Cigarette was injured.

This is the second collision on Skiatook in the past few weeks. It has really been crowded with Keystone Lake high water levels and boat ramps under water. It is not a huge lake and gets really crowded in certain parts.

No news on whether alcohol was involved or not.

I didn't realise things were that bad in Oklahoma. I have a brother who lives in OKC but he's never mentioned problems with high water levels. Is this a state wide problem or just certain lakes/rivers?

    Default Oklahoma lakes

Almost all of the big lakes in OK have been extremely high this year. Most of them have filled to the top of the flood pool if not over. Most boat ramps on the lakes in the eastern part of the state are still high. They are slowly receding, but have a long way to go to return to normal.
