Default Changing fuel gauge and sender, windshield parts

Hey everybody! Hope all you Mariah owners had a great Labor Day, out boating. Has any one changed out the fuel gauge and sender my gauge really moves around alot and I never can get a good reading. I have a 1995 18' Talarie and I am not sure how much fuel it really holds. Also does any body know where to get the filler foam that trims out the windshield, someone said it comes in rolls.

One of our members has provided a fix to make your fuel gauge much more stable. Check out Jittery fuel gauge fix

I think the foam filler can be obtained from Taylor Made.

    Hi Richard

I replaced the filler foam (actually a closed cell foam described as a 'screw cover' by the vendor) thru Taylor Made. Their part # was 8349040 & it retailed at $2.64/ft. If memory serves me correct i think it was 3/4" wide x 1/2" thick & sold in 20ft rolls. Have a look in your home improvement supply places (Home Depot, Lowes, Rona etc) too. You might find something very similar sold as weatherstripping & it will save you a few bucks.

When you install it, be sure to scrunch it up a bit because it will shrink over time leaving the ends of the track exposed.
