Default z255 sunpad attachment question
Just picked up my z255 I searched numerous posts on here regarding the gas shocks for the sunpads and havent seen any info that I need. When I bought the boat the gas shock was disconnected. Are the 2 screws that attach the gas shock to sunpad threaded in by wood or is there metal in there? I tried screwing one in and it doesnt seem to do much but didnt go to in to far. Not sure if I need to run some new holes or not.

    Mine had been moved to new holes when I bought it. Seems to work fine.

    yup seems like some of your holes may be stripped. A buddy of mine took a couple of 1/8" stainless plates and mounted those over top of the existing holes. drilled 4 holes for screwing into the deck and drilled/tapped 2 holes for mounting his shock/lifter. turned out pretty sturdy.
