Default '96 Z255 Cuddy V-berth Insert Question..

Hi folks.
Does anyone know the deal with the inserts for the cuddys. Mine has a total of 3, which fit perfect and makes it a sleeper. 2 of the 3 inserts are hard backed with cushion upholstered etc. the 3rd one is not hard backed, and has 4 strips with snaps on it. If I put it in as is, and you sit on it, you fall through, as it is only a cushion. Now my question..
Under the snap in carpet is a hole in the floor to insert what I would assume to be a small table?? Did the soft insert cushion snap to a small tabletop? As in order for it to work as a bed it needs a board behind it, like the two others. So I was thinking that insert doubled as a dinette table?? It must have had to be height adjustable I guess..
Any takers!!
I can post pics if anyone want to see the cushion in question

    Jeff,

I've seen many other boats that use the adjustable table as a support for the cushion when in "sleep mode". I would have to guess you're correct. I take it you don't have the table? If not, wish I could help - I wouldn't have any idea where to start looking for one. I imagine a place like Overton's or Boater's World has tables and adjustable supports, but you'd have to modify the table to fit just right. Good luck and let us know how/if you do something like that.
