Default A Day on Lake Berryessa!

Well the weather cooled down a bit to just under 90 degrees so it was off to Lake Berryessa for some fun and mayhem!

Ah, nothing like a good BBQ, lots of drinks, good friends, clear weather, slight breeze and a Mariah with some towables and a nice lake!

The round tubes damn near killed most of us (outta shape, us, not the tubes) so we resorted to the water weenies! They ain't called Double dogs for nothing!

Well anyway, here is a pic of a couple of little daredevils with some old guys ... and a preview just to show everyone that that our Talari can do more than just float...there are a few more pics on my gallery.

Looks like a blast, and it's great to see your Talari out on the water!

All in all, yesturday was almost a perfect day and yes, I got to admit, today I am hurting pretty bad, its been a while since getting out on the tubes and brother I'm paying for it now, OK, where'd I put the Advil???

All in all, it was almost a perfect day "but" due to some poor navigating near the shallows by the skipper, I'll be redoing my out drive again and the front prop going top need some major TLC too....ouch!! I know it's no excuse, but I sure wished my depth gauge had been working, it could have saved me a lot of embarrassment and work!

Awww that sucks about the skeg. I think there is a Murphys Law in there somewhere. Had you left it (well I know you couldnt on yours), but if you never redid the skeg, you wouldnt have had an issue.

Glad the day went well tho!

It looked like you had a fantastic day, and your skeg was looking so good too. What a bummer!
At least its not as bad as before your repair, and with your knowledge in this area you will be able to repair it with confidence.
Good Luck. Get that bloody depth sounder fixed next time

You're right dudders, even with the dinged up skeg and props, it was a fantastic day!

The ol' Talari didn't do to bad either, dined up props and all. Trimmed out, she popped 55 flat out on the speedo with 5 adults, 3 kids, 1/2 tank and about a 250lbs of gear, soda and ice.

Chris liked this pic so I thought I'd stick it here as well as the gallery (this one's my favorite too)!
