Default Days off at Lake Cumberland.

Went to Lake Cumberland with my Barchetta 182. We put in Thursday and drove 100 miles on GPS. With 3 kids, stopping to swim, eat, and just have fun it took a little over 7 hours. I had filled the tank up before the trip and on Friday before putting in. I only used 20 gal. to run 100 miles . I couldn't be happier. On Friday we logged 70 miles. When we pulled out at Burnside, I pulled into the parking lot to secure our boat and parked next to a 1994 Talari 220. Beautiful boat. I introduced myself and mentioned this forum. Come to find out we were both from Louisville, Ky. Small world.

Looks like a great time! Hopefully I'll get down to Cumberland this year, if not, I KNOW i'll head down next year. Good job spreading the word!

Good grief Vic...100 miles on 20 gallons?? Was it all downhill?? How is Cumberland? I've heard it was low.

That's looks to have the same colour combination as my 95 Shabah.

LOL with the cowering kids. Brings back memories of last season. Things change though. Yesterday, my 2 kids both rode up in the bow on the entire 20 mile return leg of our outing. They didn't even blink when I dropped the hammer during the last couple of miles. I think they inherited my speed gene...

Lake Cumberland is lower than it has been for decades, but there is still 37,000 acres of water. We drove from Burnside to the Dam which is 50 miles one way. As you can see in the one pic. during the week there are very few boats out. The average depth of the water was 60 to 80 feet but I saw 117 ft a couple of times. I only put in at Burnside which is very nice. Six lanes to launch and a shuttle to take you too and from your vehicle. They just extended the ramp 1/4 mile from our cabin so I will try it out next weekend. If you can make it to Cumberland let me know.

My little one is asleep. I think my wife was close to sleeping too. My kids love the Mariah. They think it is the fastest thing on the water.
