Default Master cyl, for boat trailer

Hello All

I need a master cyl. for my chariot trailer. Its a 1995 272 barchetta, W/chariot trailer.
any suggestions as to where to get a master cyl?

PS, its a surge brake.

    Hi all, I have a 94 Davanti 205 with brakes... the cylinder looks dry the hubs are greased they have buddies on and i don't know if the brakes even work... advice and suggestions welcome from servieing at winterization to just add brake fluid... feel free to e-mail team5sv@yahoo.

    I suggest that you go ahead and add brake fluid so you can check the operation of the master cylinder and see if the wheel cylinders leak. The wheel cylinders will probably leak, especially if they were dry. The hard part is working the master cylinder so you can bleed the system. I chock the wheels and put the vehicle in forward and reverse just enough to move the master cylinder as if activating the surge brake. You will need a bottle with a hose in it to catch the brake fluid as it comes out of the wheel cylinder bleeder fitting.

    You can usually use a large screw driver to pry the master cylinder actuator rod back and forth rather than use the tow vehicle. Chances are if the master is dry, you have a rusted through brake line or a cracked hose. Either way, if you fill the master with brake fluid and work it back and forth...you should find your problem pretty quickly.
