Default Swim platform mounting

Hello everyone!

I have a question about my Mariah 20/22SX. As you may know the boat has an extended swim platform. The front of this platform is mounted directly to the boat, the back is leaning on two brackets which are mounted to the lower part of the hull.

Normaly my boat is in the water for a few months. When I took the boat out of the water last year I saw water coming out of one of the screw holes. I took the screw out and water was coming out for a few minutes. After that I lifted the front of the boat and more water was coming out.

I hope someone has an answer to the next questions:
How big is the space in the hull where the screws are mounted?
Is it possible that water comes in through the screw holes and runs to the bilge? (there's always water in the bilge)
Is it possible to put foam in the space behind the screw holes?

Thanks for the answers!

Greetings from The Netherlands!

I cant answer your questions regarding the construction of one of the new Mariahs but... If you suspect water is coming in around the screws why not just bed them in some 3m 4200? That will prevent water entry and you will still be able to remove the screws down the road if necessary.

Unless it's rain water coming in through your engine bay vents and getting down between the inner and outer moldings.
I know on the earlier Mariah's the voids between the inner and outer moldings were filled with closed cell foam, is this not the case with the later SX models?
Water can get in through unsealed screw holes, but surely there shouldn't be any voids in the transom to fill with water.
I looked at mine today and where the inner transom stops, (at about the height of the deck molding)
The whole thing is filled with foam right back into the transom wings
