We had a good day yesterday on the beach. It was a beautiful day and we took advantage of it.

Smile On the beach in Oklahoma again!!!!!

99 degrees and the beach is the only place to be. The boat is running great and the beaches are in great shape after all of the high water we have had the last two years. We plan on getting all the boating time in we can in spite of the 4 dollar gas.

    Default Keystone Lake

It is Keystone. There are miles of good sandy beaches if the water is not high and muddy. Right now it is really nice. The water is as clear as Keystone is going to be and the beaches are great.

I run my boat on Grand Lake 90% of the time and it doesn't have any beaches that look like this. Where do you launch? I use Elk River Marina off of Hwy 10 right at the Bridge.

Maybe we can meet up some time, will be there possibly this Sunday 7/27, and then in two weeks

    Default Beach

Keystone has miles of sandy beaches on the Cimmaron River arm of the lake. On weekends, boat will be packed in tight on the best beaches. During the week, one has the run of the lake to himself. We were out with the grandkids yesterday and the lake was meduim busy for a hot Friday afternoon. There are quite a number of vintage Mariahs on Keystone as one of the marina operators here used to sell them. Now he sells Bajas and the lake is full of Bajas.

The beaches are great places to spend the day and not burn a lot of gas, but that is part of owning a boat. We are going back out again after the sunburn heals some.

About the only other lake we boat on much is Skiatook Lake which is about 20 miles north, but it tends to be way too busy on weekends to go to the trouble, but I think they are all that way on Saturday.
