Default my new project

well guys im sure ill hear some neg. feedback as well as some positive but ive mad up my mind so im getting started. figured i might give someone else an idea. took a little trip this past weekend from santee s.c to moncks corner s.c thru the locks and had a great time. only real problem i had was im a big stereo enthusiast and i had a center console hand me my u know what. well im fixin the problem. im redoing the whole sundeck on back of my 180 or 182 not sure which as its very small and i dont like the big fiberglas hood sticking out in the floor. sooo we r gonna extend the sundeck up and drop in front of the four cylinder and put it on shocks like the bigger boats. then we r gonna put the seat all the way across the back instead of just the two small seats one on each side of the "hood". we r then installing 4 solobaric 12" kickers below the seats and about 8-10 6.5 speakers with a couple 8" speakers for mid range. three batteries with selector switch and trying to figure what design we wanna build the wakeboard bar as its only function will be for holding speakers and getting the sound out of the boat. thats where these other guys r covering me. not louder than me but the sound is overhead as well as inside the boat and it runs over me so here we go. keep evertone interested updated

and if it takes it we will put two alternators on it lol. we pretty good at making stuff work. we range from huge cbs and linears in big trucks with eztra alternator and batteries to spl vehicles to custom bikes so we got a variety of options

Seems like it may be a whole lot easier to find another 180 with a sunpad ("supersport" interior layout). You could then just drop in the stereo and electrical components and be done! Changing the interior is a whole lot more work than it sounds and you may be shocked when you find out how much all the materials will cost, that is if you plan to do it to match your existing interior. If you use cheap materials and upholstery work, it'll look like $h!t and will completely destroy any resale value of the boat.

All of this just to one-up somebody else's stereo? To each his own, I guess...
