Default Z Model 258 in disguise ????????

Hello all.....

I was looking thru some threads and found this as options to identify Z model Mariah's and realized I own a Z ............
hand sculpted fiberglass interior side panels with integrated storage
custom hull and deck graphics scheme
stainless steel docking lights in bow of hull
stainless steel anchor rope chocks
windshield defogger
windshield wiper
engine hour meter
mileage counter with reset button in dash
in dash water depth gauge with alarm
electric adjustable driver bucket seat (bolsters on Z272 & Z275)
sony am/fm/cd with storage and 4 speakers
air & water temperature LED readout
circuit breaker panel with reset buttons
transom mounted courtesy light on swim platform
instrument panel dimmer switch
stainless steel "indy" style positive latch fuel fill
fiberglass sundeck liner on supersport models
electric hatch lifter on supersport models
power radio antenna
power telescopic anchor light with SOS function
custom made waterproof clock in dash
external tilt switch on transom
analog electronic fluxgate compass
two additional courtesy lights for evening cruises
woodgrain dash and custom matched steering wheel insert
stainless steel engine vents
custom made powdercoated cross curve windshields .............

So. I have all of these options except 2-3 of them.......what threw me off was all the Z models I see have bad ass paint jobs and my boat has a couple maroone lines painted down the side with the sticker graphic in between ....... My question is ...... Are all Z models painted a solid color or are some painted like mine???????
Also my boat has bottom paint that I completely hate and was wondering if anyone has had it removed and repainted and how much it was. Thanks to everyone. I love my Mariah ( & the owners club)

P.s. I noticed my prestige trailer says Z258

Bonus points for you! Yes, some Z models have your paint scheme or somewhat plane paint schemes cuz some of those features were optional on Z's. If you do a site search here you will find a few threads discussing the application of & removal of bottom paint.

If you'd like a solid confirmation if you've got a Z, send me a PM with your Hull ID number and I might be able look it up on the factory build sheets. Although I'm missing some of the '99 model year build sheets, so I can't guarantee I have the info.

But just a bit of info for you, the Z-Series "Limited Edition" models are the solid gelcoat colors (ie solid white, yellow, red, green, and black hulls).

As for your bottom paint, do you know what type it is? Some bottom paint (like Interlux VC-17) comes off simply by rubbing it with a rag with acetone on it. However, if it's a thicker textured paint, you'll most likely need to have it professionally removed by sandblasting. I'd venture a guess that you're looking at around $2k to have it professionally removed and re-gelcoated. Are you primarily trailering it, or storing in the water?

At the risk of getting incoming flak, I removed the antifoul from an earlier boat with RemovAll 620 (which some people say is rubbish).
It came off quite easily, possibly as the previous owner hadnt keyed the surface, and after a quick cut and polish looked like new again.

Instead of antifouling, I use a good quality wax polish (Carnauba I think) on the sides and bottom. The crud seems to come off ok when I give it a quick wipe down. Admittedly the boat is only in from May till October but it seems to be doing ok...
