Default Z258 Capacity Plate ???

Hey all. So on my newly purchased 1999 Z258 I'm not finding a capacity tag.... Any thoughts? I don't even see where it should have been. Granted I'm somewhat blind to the obvious at times . Assuming it's not present, anyone know what it should say?
Thanks!!
Nick

It should be down below the throttle but maybe one of the 250-252-258 owners can chime in.

Yeah, definitely not there. Looked today while we had it out on the lake again.

Yep, on my Z250 it was located next to the throttle. Capacity was listed as 12 people or 2250 lbs.

Thanks for all the help guys! Got a pic of the capacity tag so I can start working on having a new one made up. Definitely would feel better with it on there to prevent any arguments with law enforcement!

As you can see in the posts in this thread, they are (nearly) always located in the area of the throttle. Perhaps one of the other Z302 owners here can confirm where their's is mounted.

    sandvig2000,

The z302 is "Yacht Certified" like the z275. I had an officer pull me over for not having life jackets on here in IL. I keep a copy of the regs in the boat. I showed him where it says craft over 26ft has no capacity limit or life jackets required. He said he never knew that and all was well.

(The "Yacht Certified" label is bestowed upon a vessel by the NMMA (National Marine Manufacturing Association) because it complies with all applicable ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council) standards. This is an extensive list, but for vessels over 26' in length, but there are no standards related to capacity or stability, and I asked the NMMA to verify this. The USCG also has a lot regulations regarding passenger capacity, and stability, but recreational vessels over 26' in length are excluded from compliance.) from link bellow

The Marine Installer's Rant: Yacht certified? Whats that mean?

I believe that might be state specific. Im pretty sure MO is 1 jacket for every person on the boat. I always keep jackets on the boat. You never know what kind of patrol person you might run into...
