I just purchased a 1994 Talari 240 w the 5.7 Bravo 3. The boat is great however there are a few issues.

1) the trim will only raise up slightly. It will not go up to the trailer position but his is not a problem because it stays on the lift. I would like to raise it up to get it completely out of the water. anyone know of the causes for this issue

2) one time and one time only the boat went into reverse but would not go back into forward...it would go into neutral but not in forward. I shut off the engine then it worked fine. I am torn between mechanics...one says cone clutch...one says shifter cable.....the back story is that the previous owner slammed the boat into reverse at high speed to avoid a collision. this problem only happened once to previous owner and shutting off the engine solved the problem for him.

I will stick w these issues for now.

It should go part of the way up using the up/down button. There should be a square button further down the shifter that is for "trailer trim" At least on mine anyway. It's a 99 model.

And i probably wouldn't worry about the shift issue unless it happens more often than once.
