Default Radio clock and presets

Can you tell I've been using my boat alot this year.

Here's my third issue.

I still have the original radio/cassette deck. I haven't replaced it because of all of the issues I'll need to deal with and I'm old enough to be happy listening to Cardinal games.

From time to time I will lose my clock time and station presets. I can go a week and it will be fine, but I lost them today with only 12 hours between runnings.

Is the a radio issue or a wiring issue?

    hi Paul,

I think its the yellow wire on the set that provides constant power for the clock etc so maybe the connections a little loose. The radio is what...16yrs old? At less than $150 for something reliable it's likely time for a new one. It should be quite easy to pop the old one out and connect the new one in place without having to change anything. Wiring hasn't changed much in the last 20yrs. Mine had the original cassette in it when i bought it. Took me about 30-45 mins to swap it out for a new Pioneer deck 3-4 yrs ago.

Most stereo shops have 'install' kits that will come supplied with a support plate.
