Yeah she goes in next week for the brakes and brearings I told the guy I want them replaced so they are all the same as two have been replaced the others look original still as for the brakes never had anything to do with surge brakes before so I will let a pro handle them this time but thinking of getting a new trailer built with electric discs. Got a quote from loadmaster for 5200 add shipping with electric discs only a double axle trailer they said it is rated for almost 11000lbs so should be ok. Just debating on if I should go goose neck or regular.

Surge brakes are pretty simple. Just a master cylinder with a piston. But I did have electric brakes on our old 28' cruiser that we had, and they worked great. Sometimes though the electric brakes will lock when you try to go in reverse. I still would prefer electric though. My big Wellcraft cruiser was a tandem axle and it handled well, but I tell you, after having a triple axle now on our Mariah, I would go triple. Especially if you do a decent amount of road time with your boat. The triples handle much better than the dual on the road. No sway at all on the highway. I have semis blow by me on the freeway and I never even notice it. And also, I can turn pretty sharp with it as well.
11,000 lb capacity doesn't seem right to me. From my experience axles either come in 3,500 lb or 5,500 lb capacity. So with a dual axle trailer and 5,500 lb axles, you theoretically have 11,000 lbs. But then you have to minus out the weight of the axles and trailer. And then that will give you the MAX weight. I would suggest staying below 80% of your max weight load. My preference is triple because of no sway on the road and if I ever blow a tire, I will have less chance of losing control!

Yep, that's a Z278 Limited Edition. The limited edition has solid hull colors, buckskin interior, and special decal package. Congrats, she's a beauty!

Good point I had only singles on my last 20' speeder and I had done so much to reduce wieght on the boat it wasn't funny shaved offer like 500+ lbs in the engine. I wonder how much it would be to switch this trailer to electrics and blast it and then I can repaint it too.

So now I am wondering if I have the limited. I do have the buckskin colored vinyl in the cabin but what is the special decal package? I guess I could just go crawl up in the boat and look at the paperwork, but I am not at home and will be lazy later!

Nice! The only way I would replace that trailer would be if I boated in salt. These trailers are very well made. Give it a little TLC if needed and spend your money on other things.
