where can i find a ladder for my 1996 talari 240

Hi drpayne and welcome to the club,

It just so happens that I was in this same situation with our '96 Z240 Talari too.

The ladders were made in-house and as far as I know, are no longer available, but there is an acceptable replacement that will work with a little modification. Click here and read post #4, it has a few pictures of the old and new ladder.

All that was required for the new ladder was drilling the bolt holes a little larger to match the original bolts, having two small Stainless Steel disks welded where the frame down stops make contact with the ladder bars just like the original ladder had and adding a couple of nylon washers between the ladder and frame where they bolt together.

Hi drpayne, got your message....

I purchased our replacement ladder from a local West Marine store back in '07 and unless the ladders have changed, the West Marine part number should be 10185015 / WM-L-3-12-D (3-Step Over-Platform Ladder). Since manufacturing tolerances vary and it's been three years since I purchased mine, I suggest you measure the distance between your current ladder mounts to insure this one will fit properly and don't forget to add the SS disks or the ladder could contact and dent the rub-rail when in use.

You can also find ladders on eBay at lower prices, but you'll need to contact the sellers for the frame dimensions before buying to insure they'll fit.
