Default Jockey Box

I have a 1996 z252 Shabah. The latch on the jockey box is broken. Does anyone know where to get one? Thanks Reed

Not sure where to get one but a jockey box is like a glove box in a car. The one with the key to lock up stuff on passenger side.

Ok, I googled Jockey Box and it says that it is a term used mostly in the Northwestern US, mostly the Rockey Mountain states. Yes it is the GLOVE BOX. I really don't need a locking latch but just the latch that keeps the glove box closed. Thanks for the responses. PS I asked my office one at a time what they would call the box in front of the passenger in a car. 80 percent said Jockey Box. I guess that's Utah.I also asked what they had in their glove box and no one had gloves. I know I could be setting myself for Utah jokes but O well.

Well, learned something new today. Thanks for that!

I don't know as I've ever seen gloves in anybody's automobile (or boat) "glove box." Then again: I can't say as I've ever seen a jockey in one, either!

The terms "Glove Box" and "Jockey Box" are kind of like the use of "pop" and "soda" to describe the carbonated beverages such as Pepsi and Coke.

The first time I heard someone suggest we get a soda I had the image of ice cream in a glass with a carbonated soft drink added.

Sorry to hijack the thread but it sorta fits the original question I had.
