Well, I realize it's been a while, but I ended up buying a new boat at the boat show in Toronto. It's a 2010 Stingray 185LX with extended swim platform, Volvo 3.0 150HP GXI engine. It's loaded with all the little extra goodies like pop up bolster seats, tilt wheel, depth finder, snap-in carpet and some other extras. The package included a trailer and all canvas. I don't get delivery until May 7 and find this to be a painfully long rotten winter. $23k all in.
I think size wise this will be perfect for our small lake. I did not set out to buy a Stingray, my list had included Glastron, Four Winns, Larson and Tahoe but after seeing the Stingray I was pretty much sold. The fit and finish was better than the Larson or Glastron easily. I really wanted a Glastron as my neighbour at the lake has a 2007 MX175 that is very nice. However, the latest models are poorer quality in comparison. Stingray Boats - Powerboat Manufacturer

Well, sorry to hear you couldnt make the Mariah work. Although it sounds like it was a good decision from a maintinance standpoint I think that Mariah may have needed more attention than you were prepared for, and a brand new Stingray will sure be nice to run. ENJOY, I can tell you are very excited. Just as any new boat owner should be. Congrats.
