Congrats on your new boat! I love mine. It's got a few small quirks, which I'm working on fixing, but overall it's a great boat! I think you'll be very happy with your choice.

The closed cooling system was an option, most people didn't go for it though due to the added expense. So most likely, your engine is raw water cooled. I believe there are conversion kits available.

I have no idea how many gallons it burns an hour. One of these days I'll figure out how to calculate it without using a fuel flow meter. It seems to be the most efficient at cruising speed (around 3200rpm, 29-32mph).

i know exactly how it feels, since our boating season is over, and the boat's winterized sitting in the driveway, I've got to play "catch up" on all my jobs around the house that I forgot about over the summer.

Good luck with delivery and keep us all updated. If you've got any questions about anything, just feel free to ask!

Congrats on your purchase. Good solid platforms.

I've found on our Z252 (bow rider) that we burn about 15-20 gph at 3,200, going about 30 MPH. As mentioned that seems to be the most effective cruising speed. Now, this is not done with any flow meters, etc - only from calculating on gas fills.

There are many boats that will get well over 2 MPG, but with the weight and 7.4L carb'ed engine, I'm reasonably happy with what we get.

I'll probably put on some Smart Tabs next spring to help balance the ride and to get up on plane faster and there should be some improvement.
