Cool Mariah Z250

Just bought a Mariah Z250... I'm loving the boat but I turned here for some answers on a few problems it has. I'm looking forward to sharing and receiving great advise from boat owners like yourself. happy boating

Yep, you're at the right place, we've got a few Z250 owners here, including myself, so if you've got any questions, just ask!

Thanks, I got the control arm cable fixed, worked great. I took it out to scolfield lake for the 4th and the prop on the is a 4 blade not sure on pitch ill have to look at it but what I was wondering is what works best for this boat for all around... skiing, tubing, and speed. What prop do you use? I can only do about 40 mph and max out at 3,800 rpms. Any suggestions?

    Hi Lunaticutah,

Well from what your telling us, it seems you're a bit "over" propped. Since your running at 3800RPM @ WOT (wide open throttle) and for every 1" drop in pitch equates to about a 200 RPM increase, you're probably looking at dropping down between 3 to 4 inches of pitch to bring the WOT RPMs to 4600.

The best way to select a prop is to get one for the load (# of passengers, gear and gas) and speed you'll use it most. So lets figure out what you have first before we look for another prop, OK?

I'm running a 21 pitch 3 blade on mine, which was on it when I bought it. My WOT is around 4400 and I top out around 50mph.

Stop by our "Prop Talk" section of the forum, post your question there, those guys really know their stuff and can help you get the right prop on!!
